Recently stated having seizures in my sleep after suffering Flu like symptoms that lasted for about 1 week from 01/01/06 to about 01/06/06, then on 01/08/06 I experienced my first of many seizures. Most Neurologist have just asked a generalized question and prescribed anti convulsive prescriptions with a take two of these and call me in the morning. I have done much research on the subject and have discovered that there is a sleep disorder that result in seizures. I had a very bad fall when I was about 11 yrs old having fallen backward after having my skate get caught in a crack in a piece of slate sidewalk that resulted in a bump (lump now) on the back of my head. I take quite a few supplements e.g. Amino Acids, Zinc, Folic Acid, Colloidal Gold, B Complex, Mixed Topherols, Alpha Lipoic Acid, B12, B6, Trace Minerals, Cellfood. Some of these are to offset the side effects of Keppra because I refused to accept Dilantin because I read the clinical trials. My concerns are that now when I experience a seizure, I end up in ICU not knowing how long I have been there or what day it is. Is this an electrical misfiring or is it due to damaged brain cells from years ago. Are the neurotransmitters also malfunctioning? My last event was 06/28/09 and I was released from the hospital on 07/02/09. My prescription was increased to 1000 MG 2X daily. I am a fit 62 yr old female and eat a well proportioned diet of veggies/poultry,fruit and (sigh) desserts too. Have always been cautious about produce long before it became popular (1969 to present)including additives and preservatives.

My physician prescribes Abilify to treat severe mood swings as well as hallucinations. It may be taken along with antidepressants to obtain additional relief from persistent symptoms of depression. I can find the information about this drug and list of drugs at InternationalDrugMart. which will surely help.
